On Oct. 12, 2019, about 45 associates and family members from Lynchburg Nursing Center in Lynchburg, Tennessee, took part in the town’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
“For a small facility, we have a huge outpouring of associates who feel compassionate about this disease and how it affects our residents and families,” said Stephanie Speegle, business development director.
The team raised $400 for the Alzheimer’s Association through dressing in pink, and hosting potluck lunches, among other fundraising efforts.
“It was great to be part of the Lynchburg Nursing Center Alzheimer’s team and walk for a great cause!” said Amy Davis, therapy assistant. “Alzheimer’s is a disease that is close to all of us and has touched many lives. It was a great event, and we enjoyed the view of downtown Lynchburg for the walk!”
