On May 15, 2019, Lynchburg Nursing Center in Lynchburg, Tennessee, presented a $500 scholarship to a worthy student.

Hailee Trott, a 2019 Moore County High School graduate, is pursuing a career in nursing. She trained at Lynchburg Nursing Center as part of a HOSA-Future Health Professionals class and plans to pursue her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro.

Students interested in the scholarship completed an application describing their goals and plans for college. The Resident Council and executive director at Lynchburg Nursing Center then selected the recipient.

“My experience at Lynchburg Nursing Center was amazing and super educational,” said Trott. “I was surrounded by so many people who were always willing to answer my questions and show me how to do the skills a CNA should do correctly. The residents were always so patient with us students, and they were always excited for us. I fell in love with so many of the residents and staff. Winning the scholarship was such an honor! I’m forever grateful for all of the people I bonded with and my entire experience at Lynchburg Nursing Center.”
